Job Location: Marietta, OH 45750 Position Type: Full Time Job Shift: Varies as scheduled Job Category: Nursing Job Functions Following and completing assignments as given by the charge nurse. Creating and maintaining an atmosphere of warmth, personal interest, and positive emphasis, as well as a calm environment throughout the department. Gathering supplies and equipment for surgical cases. Preparing surgery suite for procedures. Restocking supplies in surgery suite when procedures have ended for the day. Monitoring surgery inventory and notifying the appropriate individual(s) when supplies are needed. Operating equipment and performing technical skills according to policies and standards; learning new skills and seeking assistance appropriately. Synthesizing patient data and implementing action plan appropriate to situation (good judgment, critical thinking). Documenting all information consistently, concisely and in accordance with policy. Collaborating with appropriate disciplines in developing coordinated outcomes and interventions; interacting with team members regarding patient progress. Assuming accountability for attendance and timely completion of competencies, mandatory programs, unit‑specific requirements (e.g., ACLS), and unit meetings. Ensuring that the Surgery Department and Operating Rooms are maintained in a clean, safe and sanitary manner. Recording all information correctly and accurately on the patient’s chart. Following established universal precautions in the use of gloves, gowns, and/or masks. Assuming all other duties and responsibilities as necessary. Qualifications Current licensure in the State of Ohio as a Registered Nurse. BLS required upon hire. ACLS within one year of employment. Maintains compliance as required by the RQI. Special Knowledge, Skills, Training Verbal, clerical, numerical, and manual dexterity, color vision and near visual acuity.
