Two passionate Special Education Teachers are needed to join a dedicated team supporting elementary and middle school students through May 31, 2027. This rewarding contract opportunity offers a consistent full-time schedule from 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM, working in a self-contained classroom alongside a team of skilled paraprofessionals.

Key qualifications and background:

• Valid Nevada Special Education Teaching License required
• Autism Endorsement on teaching license strongly preferred
• Solid experience working with students on the Autism spectrum and with high-needs populations
• Understanding of evidence-based instructional strategies for self-contained classrooms
• Commitment to providing individualized, compassionate support for each learner

What you’ll do:

• Manage a self-contained classroom with a caseload capped at 13 students (8–10 in class at a time)
• Collaborate daily with multiple paraprofessionals supporting the classroom
• Teach students with Autism, fostering independence and growth through specialized curriculum
• Craft IEPs, progress reports, and maintain timely documentation
• Guide students during specials with their assigned aides
• Adapt instruction and resources to meet a range of learning needs
• Engage in staff meetings and professional development to continually strengthen your impact
