Job Title: Java Developer with strong AWS Job Type: FTC Rate on Contract : $65-67/hr Job Location: Wilmington, DE (5 Days Onsite) Experience: 10 + years Must have: JAVA, strong AWS, Spring boot, Microservices Job responsibilities: Position Overview We are looking for an experienced Java Developer with strong AWS expertise to design, develop, and maintain scalable, secure, and high-performance applications. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with Java, Spring Boot, microservices, REST APIs, and AWS cloud services, along with a solid understanding of cloud-native application development. - Design, develop, test, and maintain robust Java-based applications.
- Develop scalable microservices and RESTful APIs using Java and Spring Boot .
- Design and implement cloud-native solutions on AWS.
- Work with AWS services such as EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, DynamoDB, SQS, SNS, API Gateway, CloudWatch, ECS/EKS, and IAM.
- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, AWS CodePipeline, or CodeBuild.
- Troubleshoot production issues and participate in root-cause analysis.
- Collaborate with product managers, architects, DevOps engineers, QA teams, and other developers.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to engineering standards and best practices.
- Write unit and integration tests and maintain high code quality.
- Contribute to technical design, architecture discussions, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Strong proficiency in Java 8/11/17+ and object-oriented programming.
- Hands-on experience with Spring Boot .
- Strong experience developing REST APIs and microservices.
- Strong hands-on experience with AWS cloud services(AWS services such as EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, DynamoDB, SQS, SNS, API Gateway, CloudWatch, ECS/EKS, and IAM) .
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes, preferably AWS EKS.
- Experience with CI/CD and DevOps practices.
- Strong knowledge of SQL and relational databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, or Oracle.
- Experience with NoSQL databases such as DynamoDB or MongoDB.
- Experience with messaging technologies such as AWS SQS/SNS, Kafka, or RabbitMQ.
- Proficiency with Git and modern software development practices.
- Understanding of distributed systems, scalability, resiliency, and cloud-native architecture.
- Strong debugging, problem-solving, and communication skills.
