Primary Care Physician — Compassionate, Team-Based Care

Description JOB SUMMARY: Physicians examine patients; take medical histories; prescribe medications; and order, perform, and interpret diagnostic tests. They often counsel patients on diet, hygiene, and preventive healthcare.

JOB DUTIES:

Take a patient's medical history Update charts and patient information to show current findings and treatments Order tests for nurses or other healthcare staff to perform Review test results to identify any abnormal findings Recommend and design a plan of treatment Address concerns or answer questions that patients have about their health and well-being Position Requirements JOB REQUIREMENTS: Ability to work in a team setting Requires effective verbal and written communication skills to communicate with providers via phone and prepare correspondence Understanding of health care facilities and processes Willingness and ability to learn/adapt to practice in a value based care setting Superior patient/customer service Education and/or Experience Licensure requirements of the state of jurisdiction or ability to become licensed in the state as well as ability to maintain licensure Graduate of accredited MD or DO program of accredited university Board Certification or Eligibility in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine or Geriatric Medicine with continued certification throughout employment Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Organized Attentive to Detail Basic computer skills, including email and EMR Compassionate Excellent communication skills

WORK ENVIRONMENT

All work is performed within a standard health care/primary care clinical setting.
