The Dental Insurance Coordinator/Biller plays a vital role in managing both billing and appointment scheduling within a dental practice. This position requires expertise in dental insurance claims processing and ensures efficient communication with patients and insurance companies. Working extensively with Open Dental software, the coordinator handles over 300 claims monthly while maintaining compliance and resolving disputes effectively.
Responsibilities
- Process over 300 dental insurance claims monthly using Open Dental software
- Manage patient billing and payment posting accurately
- Verify insurance coverage and eligibility for dental services
- Coordinate patient appointment scheduling alongside billing duties
- Communicate effectively with patients regarding billing and insurance inquiries
- Monitor compliance with insurance policies and regulations
- Resolve billing disputes and insurance claim denials promptly
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in dental insurance coordination
- Strong knowledge of dental insurance claims processing
