Job Summary:

Responsibilities:

• 
  Perform phlebotomy procedures and 12-lead EKGs to assist in patient assessments.
  
  
• 
  Monitor and respond to cardiac rhythms using tele monitors, identifying life-threatening arrhythmias.
  
  
• 
  Assist with patient transport, ADLs, and management of patient contraband and property.
  
  
• 
  Administer IM injections and PO medications, including psychotropics such as Haldol, Zyprexa, and Ativan.
  
  
• 
  Support physicians and nursing staff with clinical duties, ensuring efficient workflow and patient safety.
  
  
• 
  Conduct patient searches and maintain unit safety protocols, including property inventory.
  
  

Qualifications:

• 
  Strong experience in phlebotomy and 12-lead EKG procedures.
  
  
• 
  Current BLS certification; CPI and de-escalation training preferred.
  
  
• 
  Demonstrated ability to manage patients with severe mental illnesses and behavioral issues.
  
  
• 
  Relevant experience working in psychiatric emergency or inpatient settings.
  
  
• 
  Ability to work effectively in high-pressure environments and follow safety protocols.
  
  
• 
  Certification in basic life support and emergency response procedures.
