Administer medications and treatments per physician orders; document accurately and legibly. Provide patient and family education from admission through discharge; participate in discharge planning. Monitor patient status, communicate pertinent changes to the physician, and respond to urgent situations calmly. Supervise and direct the work of nursing assistants as appropriate; ensure supplies and equipment are available and functioning.
