MRI Technologist

Job Description:
- Under the direction of a Radiologist, performs various Radiology Services procedures at a technical level requiring no constant supervision of technical detail in MRI.
- Performs a variety of imaging and documentation procedures, including Radiology procedures, with ingenuity and initiative to apply prescribed ionizing radiation and/or MRI and for radiologic diagnosis and is responsible for patient safety protocols.
- Functions as the first line interface with customers in the successful accomplishment of their imaging needs.
- Assists in the department of Radiology and its function
- Recognizes the purpose of employment is to prioritize the patient as number one, and to put forth the utmost quality as a Technologist
- Graduate of 24 month AMA School of Radiology Technology
- 12 months previous experience in MRI preferred
- ARRT certification in Radiology
- ARRT certification in MR technology preferred
- NYS IV Contrast certification required or obtained within 6 months of hire
- NYS license in Radiologic Technology
- BLS certification required or obtained within 3 months of hire
- Shift: EVENINGS 9a-9p
