1:1 Social-Emotional Support Paraprofessional – Baldwin High SchoolPosition OverviewECKCE is seeking a compassionate, patient, and dedicated 1:1 Social-Emotional Support Paraprofessional to work with a high school student requiring individualized support throughout the school day. This role focuses on helping the student develop social-emotional skills, remain regulated and engaged in learning, and successfully navigate the academic and social demands of the high school environment.ResponsibilitiesProvide direct, one-on-one support to a designated student throughout the school dayAssist the student with emotional regulation, coping strategies, and stress managementCoach and model positive social interactions, communication, and problem-solving skillsImplement behavior support plans and interventions as directedCollaborate with teachers, counselors, and related service providers to ensure consistent supportSupport the student in accessing academic instruction and school activitiesCollect observational data and communicate progress to the student's teamMaintain professional boundaries, confidentiality, and positive rapportExperience working with adolescents in a school, youth program, or similar setting strongly preferred.Ability to remain calm, supportive, and solutions-focused in challenging situationsStrong interpersonal communication skills and a student-centered approachWillingness to learn and implement evidence-based strategies and supports
