Duties and Responsibilities To teach one or more courses within a range of topics that include, depending on the qualifications of lecturers: NREM 203 – Applied Calculus for Management, Life Sciences, and Human Resources NREM 220 – Agricultural and Resource Economics NREM 301 – Natural Resources Management NREM 302 – Natural Resource and Environmental Policy NREM 304/L – Fundamentals of Soil Science/Laboratory NREM 310 – Statistics in Agriculture and Human Resources NREM 477 – Geographic Information Systems for Resource Managers NREM 492 – Internship Experience NREM 494 – Environmental Problem Solving For any other interested courses not listed above, please click here for course descriptions. Responsible for conducting all scheduled classes; meeting course requirements as established by the department/program, preparing course syllabus, setting exams and homework, grading, maintaining weekly office hours and being accessible to students. Minimum Qualifications M.S. degree in agriculture, natural resources or environmental management or related field from an accredited university/institution by time of appointment. Demonstrated ability to teach college-level face-to-face lecture and laboratory courses. Working knowledge of natural resources or environmental management. Excellent communication and organizational skills; ability to collaborate with faculty, staff, students, and external stakeholders. Desirable Qualifications Ph.D. or doctoral degree in agriculture, natural resources or environmental management or related field from an accredited university/institution. Success teaching large-enrollment sections and supervising GTAs/labs. Demonstrated hands-on training innovations (e.g. data analysis, GIS, remote sensing). Experience coordinating internships and industry partnerships; experience advising student clubs.
