Position Summary A general maintenance supports operations by installing, maintaining, and repairing manufacturing equipment. As a team they work to minimize manufacturing machine downtime using corrective and preventive maintenance. This is a 3rd shift position. Position Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To:

• Installs, maintains, and repairs manufacturing equipment.

• Installs, maintains, and repairs facility related equipment including: access control systems, fire alarm systems, and gas generator systems.

• Completes preventive maintenance and corrective repairs on various types of equipment.

• Ability to safely troubleshoot and perform basic electrical repairs.

• Operates/maintains machine shop equipment, hand tools, measuring, and diagnostic equipment.

• Documents completed repairs.

• Fabricates, rebuilds, designs, and installs machine parts.

• Mechanical installation and troubleshooting of oil lubrication, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems including piping.

• Maintain compressed air and drying equipment.

• Installation and troubleshooting of electrical motors and controls.

• Constructs electrical control panels from various schematics.

• Implement ways to reduce costs, increase productivity, and eliminate waste.

• Identify, requisition, and track supplies required to complete assignments.

• Follows safe working practices and procedures.

• All other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

  Education, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

• HSD/GED or relevant experience.

• 1-2 years prior maintenance mechanic experience in a manufacturing enviroment.

• Ability to use and understand various precision measuring tools.

• Ability to read and understand blue prints and schematics.

• Mechanical installation and troubleshooting of oil lubrication, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.

• Safe operation of a variety of shop equipment, such as, but not limited to: welding, mills, lathes, metal saws, surface grinders.

• Ability to rebuild equipment to OEM specifications.

• Ability to be forklift certified.

• Ability to work independently and stay on assigned tasks.

• Ability to enter required information into computerized tracking system.
