Customer Service Representative

Promote efficient departmental functions and operations. Perform daily patient scheduling. Enter data accurately and timely into multiple computer systems. Verify insurance coverage and obtain authorization for services. Prepare charts. Fax and disposition medical records. Ready patients for visits according to department protocols. Assist with answering phones and patient registration. Provide backup coverage for other clerical staff members during their absence. Requirements High school diploma or equivalent preferred. 1-year minimum experience as Customer Service Assistant required with OMC or equivalent as determined by OMC. Knowledge of medical terminology required. Completed required training for and has the ability to work at all Heart Center locations. Medical Assistant certificate preferred. Core Competencies Demonstrates proficiency in patient scheduling, data entry, and insurance verification while ensuring compliance with departmental protocols.
