Registered Nurse - Rehab

2S Med Rehab RNUnit Description: 24 beds. Cerebrovascular disease, traumatic brain injury, amputees, spinal cord injuries, deconditioning, neurological diseases.Special Procedures/Unit Details: Each patient has a care team assigned to them. A physiatrist, NP, nurse, 2 therapists (depending on need which 2 they are), and social worker. The team collaborates to create a plan for the patient. Therapy works with the pt's 3 hours a day M-F. LOS is around 2 weeks. Orientation held every other week on Thursday.Certs Required: BLS (must be AHA), acute care rehab preferred.Ratio: Days 1:4/5, Nights 1:5/6.Experience Required: 2 years of RN experience required; 1 year in-specialty experience required; charge exp preferred.First-timers accepted. Every other weekend required. No call requirement. RN can be floated within scope to meet facilities needs when required. Open to accommodating block schedule requests - discuss in interview. 100mi. radius rule (75-99mi. can be sent for facility approval). WV/Compact RN license required - can submit with pending RN license but must have WV/Compact license active to start. No RTO restrictions; must include requests on application and discuss during interview. Guaranteed hours: 36 or 48hr/week options - discuss with manager.Patient Diagnoses: SCI, TBI, STROKE, AMPUTATION, NEUROMUSCULAR DX, SEVERE DECONDITIONING R/T CARDIAC OR RESPIRATORY EVENT.Submission Requirements: -Perm employees cannot return to CAMC as a traveler for 2 years after last day worked perm -Flu Shot: Please DO NOT SEND ANYONE WHO REFUSES FLU SHOT WITHOUT MEDICAL PROOF. CAMC requires all personnel take flu vaccine unless they have allergy documented by an allergist or physician record. CAMC FLU SEASON IS OCTOBER 1st - MARCH 31st.
