Every team member at IRPROS plays a critical role in driving operational success and delivering exceptional service.Position OverviewThe Industrial Refrigeration Project Manager is responsible for planning, executing, and successfully delivering industrial refrigeration projects. This role requires close coordination with engineering teams, contractors, and clients to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and in full compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and client expectations.Key ResponsibilitiesProject Planning & ManagementDevelop project scopes, schedules, and budgets for installations, upgrades, and retrofitsEstablish and maintain detailed timelines, milestones, and deliverablesCoordinate design reviews, equipment selection, and procurementTechnical OversightEnsure system designs comply with ASHRAE, IIAR, OSHA, and other applicable standardsReview engineering drawings, P&IDs, and technical specificationsProvide technical guidance on ammonia (NH₃), CO₂, and other refrigerant systemsTeam Leadership & CoordinationLead cross-functional teams including engineers, technicians, subcontractors, and vendorsOversee on-site activities, monitor progress, and resolve technical or logistical issuesConduct regular project and stakeholder meetingsBudget & Cost ControlPrepare cost estimates and track project expensesReview and approve invoices and change orders within authority limitsIdentify and implement cost-saving opportunities without compromising qualitySafety & ComplianceEnforce safety protocols and ensure compliance with environmental and regulatory requirementsCoordinate hazard analyses and emergency response planningMaintain proper documentation for compliance and auditsClient & Stakeholder CommunicationServe as the primary point of contact throughout the project lifecycleProvide regular status updates and proactively address concernsDeliver final documentation and support project handoff to operations teamsEducation & ExperienceBachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field (preferred)5+ years of project management experience in industrial refrigeration or mechanical contractingExperience with ammonia (NH₃) and/or CO₂ refrigeration systems strongly preferredSkills & CompetenciesProficiency in MS Project, AutoCAD, or similar toolsStrong knowledge of IIAR standards and refrigeration safety practicesExcellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skillsAbility to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environmentPreferred CertificationsPMP (Project Management Professional)RETA CertificationOSHA 30-Hour Safety CertificationBenefitsMedical, dental, and vision insurance401(k) with eligibility after 90 daysLife and AD&D insuranceShort-term and long-term disabilityPaid holidays and paid time offReferral bonus programCareer advancement opportunitiesProfessional development and trainingCompany vehicle or car allowance (role-dependent)Company phone (role-dependent)Additional ProgramsEmployee Boot Program (voucher + replacement every 2 years after eligibility)Company Vehicle Ownership Program (or $10,000 cash alternative)Equal Employment OpportunityIRPROS is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
