What You’ll Do

• Deliver school-based physical therapy services for students in elementary, middle, or high school settings
• Conduct thorough evaluations and ongoing therapy, focusing on gross motor skills, mobility, and functional access to learning
• Complete all required documentation, including evaluations, treatment notes, and Individualized Education Program (IEP) updates
• Work collaboratively alongside multidisciplinary teams—OT, SLP, special education staff, teachers, and family members
• Advocate for student mobility, accessibility, and full participation in all aspects of the school day
• Uphold best practices while ensuring adherence to California state rules and district-level protocols

Qualifications

• Valid Physical Therapist license in California, or eligibility to obtain prior to start
• Prior experience in a school or pediatric setting preferred
• Familiarity with IEPs, progress reporting, and special education frameworks
• Strong collaborative skills; comfortable working within diverse educational teams
• Outstanding organizational skills with meticulous documentation practices
• Compassion, adaptability, and dedication to student success
