Field Sales Representative Delivery Partner Program

This role offers an exciting opportunity to support a brand-new delivery partner program launching in Alabama. As a Field Sales Representative, you recruit local businesses to join a delivery partner network. You visit prospective businesses, present the program, qualify interested partners, guide them through the application process, and help drive referrals through community organizations. You collaborate closely with a Field Manager and other local contractors to plan and execute recruitment events, while managing leads and activity in Salesforce. The position requires regular travel of up to approximately two hours driving distance and includes the opportunity to earn commission based on each partner successfully converted.

Responsibilities

• Visit prospective businesses door to door in targeted towns within approximately a two-hour driving radius to introduce the delivery partner program.
• Present and pitch the new delivery program opportunity to prospective businesses and generate interest in applying.
• Qualify prospective businesses based on program criteria and guide them through the full application process.
• Lead and document all sales and recruitment activity in Salesforce, maintaining an organized and up-to-date pipeline of prospects.
• Support the Field Manager in planning, coordinating, and hosting recruitment events in the community such as lunch-and-learn sessions and town hall meetings.
• Partner with the Field Manager to engage local influencers, including chambers of commerce and economic development associations, to drive referrals and awareness.
• Import Excel spreadsheets into Salesforce on a weekly basis to ensure accurate data management and reporting.
• Drive outbound sales efforts to identify new business opportunities and expand the local delivery partner network.
• Communicate professionally with business owners and decision-makers, addressing questions and overcoming objections to secure program participation.
• Collaborate with other local contractors to share insights, refine outreach strategies, and continuously improve recruitment results.

Essential Skills

• 1+ years of experience in sales and/or customer service, with direct interaction with customers or clients.
• Outside or field sales experience, including face-to-face meetings with business owners or decision-makers.
• CRM experience required, with Salesforce strongly preferred for managing leads, activity, and pipelines.
• Strong outbound sales skills, including prospecting, pitching, and closing.
• Exceptional customer service and communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to travel up to approximately 4 hours round trip distance daily to visit businesses and attend events.
• Attention to detail and the ability to solve problems for applicants in the field.
• Comfort working with multiple systems and technology, demonstrating strong technical savvy.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• 12 years of experience in sales and/or customer service is preferred.
• Prior field sales experience is a plus.
• Previous roles involving sales and/or negotiation with customers are highly beneficial.
• Demonstrated professionalism and enthusiasm for working collaboratively with others.
• High sense of urgency and a proactive approach to meeting recruitment and conversion goals.
• Ability to build relationships with community organizations and local influencers to drive referrals.
• Experience importing and managing data in Excel and integrating it into CRM systems.
• Strong organizational skills to manage multiple prospects, events, and follow-up activities simultaneously.

Work Environment

This is a field-based role with significant time spent on the road, typically 45 days per week visiting businesses and attending community events. The remaining time is spent working from home to manage Salesforce activity, follow up with prospects, and prepare for upcoming outreach. The position is based in Alabama, with hiring needs in or near Montgomery and Florence, and requires regular driving within a roughly two-hour radius for business visits and up to approximately four hours round trip for daily travel. You use a CRM system (Salesforce) and Excel regularly, as well as standard communication tools, to manage your pipeline and coordinate with the Field Manager and other contractors. The work focuses on engaging local businesses in person, collaborating with community organizations, and supporting a high-quality delivery experience in complex last-mile scenarios.

Job Type & Location: This is a Contract position based out of Montgomery, AL.

Pay and Benefits: The pay range for this position is $25.50 - $25.50/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
