Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Endoscopy Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 8 hours Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience required License: Required Certifications: BLS required; ACLS required for certain roles Must-Have: - Experience with Opioid Analgesics, Propofol, and Reversal agents - Proficient in monitoring anesthesia care sedation - Experience with Colonoscopy, Endoscopic Ultrasound (EUS), and Esophagogastroduodenoscopy (EGD) - Familiarity with electronic charting systems Description: This position is for an Endoscopy Registered Nurse on day shifts. The schedule consists of 5 eight-hour shifts per week. Two late shifts will be assigned weekly. Late shifts accommodate end-of-day procedures and will typically end around 8 PM, but often close sooner. No weekend or holiday coverage is required. Participants must be willing to cover some call shifts after hours. The average daily census is approximately 80 procedures. The unit has 5 procedure rooms, with an average of 47 visits per day. The patient ratio experience required is 1 nurse to 3 patients. Responsibilities include pre-procedure assessments and post-operative care. Training may occur in pre-procedure and post-op areas, with potential for procedural room assignments after skill assessment. Experience in advanced/biliary rooms is a bonus. There is no floating between facilities, only within the service line and scope. The facility provides access to all necessary support services. Compliance with specific vaccination requirements is necessary. Candidates should be prepared to work within established policies and procedures.
