This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented professional with a strong background in purchasing, procurement, inventory management, and supplier relations who is ready to play a critical role in supporting production operations.If you thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, enjoy coordinating with suppliers, managing material flow, and ensuring production teams have the resources they need to succeed, we want to hear from you.This role is responsible for sourcing materials, maintaining vendor relationships, managing purchase orders, and supporting production schedules through effective procurement practices.ResponsibilitiesSource and purchase raw materials, fabricated components, consumables, and production supplies.Create, issue, and manage purchase orders to support manufacturing operations.Monitor inventory levels and coordinate material replenishment to prevent production delays.Develop and maintain strong relationships with vendors, suppliers, and subcontractors.Obtain and evaluate supplier quotes to ensure competitive pricing and timely delivery.Track purchase orders and follow up on deliveries to ensure materials arrive on schedule.Work closely with production, engineering, quality, and warehouse teams to support operational requirements.Review material certifications, documentation, and supplier records as required.Assist with inventory control, cycle counts, and material reconciliation activities.Coordinate with suppliers regarding discrepancies, shortages, quality concerns, and delivery issues.Maintain accurate purchasing records, vendor files, and procurement documentation.Analyze purchasing trends and recommend cost-saving opportunities.Support continuous improvement initiatives related to procurement and inventory management.Ensure compliance with company purchasing policies and procedures.QualificationsPrevious experience as a Purchasing Agent, Buyer, Procurement Specialist, Inventory Coordinator, or similar role required.Experience working within a manufacturing, fabrication, industrial, or production environment preferred.Strong understanding of purchasing processes, vendor management, and inventory control.Ability to read and interpret purchase orders, material specifications, and technical documentation.Strong organizational and time-management skills.Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Excel, and Word.Experience utilizing ERP, MRP, or inventory management systems preferred.Strong attention to detail and accuracy.Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.Preferred ExperienceManufacturing or fabrication industry experience.Inventory management and material planning.Supplier negotiations and vendor development.Material certifications, MTRs, and quality documentation.ERP/MRP software systems.Production scheduling support.Physical RequirementsAbility to sit, stand, and move throughout office, warehouse, and production environments.Ability to occasionally lift up to 25 pounds.Ability to work in both office and manufacturing settings as needed.Ability to communicate effectively with vendors, suppliers, and internal teams.Why Join Our Team?Competitive compensation based on experience.Stable, long-term opportunity with a growing organization.Opportunity to play a key role in supporting manufacturing operations.Collaborative environment focused on teamwork and continuous improvement.Career growth opportunities within purchasing, supply chain, and operations.Competitive benefits package.Work with a respected company that values professionalism, accountability, and employee success.Ready to Get Started?Apply today through Lloyd Richards Personnel and take the next step in your career.
