With 29 locations across Pennsylvania, Ohio, and New York, we provide comprehensive solutions in lighting, datacomm, automation, and industrial services.What Sets Us Apart are our Core Values:Commitment to IntegrityTeamworkAccountabilityProfitabilityWhere we work hard and go home happy!Electrifying Benefits:Health Coverage: Choose from 2 PPO options for Medical, Dental, Vision, and RX—coverage kicks in just 60 days after the 1st of the month.401K with company match.Flexible Spending Account (FSA) & Health Savings Account (HSA).Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP): Become a stakeholder in our success!Quarterly bonuses.Company-paid disability and life insurance.Generous paid holidays and paid time offOpportunities for continuing education and professional developmentWork Hours: Monday-Friday from 7 AM-3 PM On-site, full-time.Location: Harrisburg, PASummary/Objective: Electrical Technician will be responsible to assemble and wire Industrial control panels, and to help achieve production standards that make the ModCenter Solutions group a valuable and profitable business unit.Essential Functions:Technical SkillsHave a full working knowledge of reading electrical wiring elementary diagrams and schematics.Able to read NEMA and DIN standard electrical diagrams and translate knowledge to the proper assembly and wiring of Industrial control Panel.Have a full working knowledge of laying out Control Panel mounting plates and populating same.Must be able to work independently.Securely mount components, wireway, and din rail on mounting plate.Be able to neatly apply Terminal markers, Cable label markers, and Gravoply component labels on mounting plate.Complete ModCenter Assembly Quality Report.Secure all cutsheet documentation packaged with components for Customer.Have a full working knowledge of complete electrical wiring of Industrial control Panel.Proper use of wire Cutting, Stripping, and Crimping tools.Proper determination of correct color and gauge of wire per electrical drawing.Properly apply wire marks to both ends of a wire.Properly use Pneumatic/Electrical torque adjustable/limited screw drivers.Thoroughly inspect wired assembly.Report Non-conformances of same.Complete ModCenter Assembly Quality ReportMaintain Schaedler/YESCO safety procedures for Assembly area of ModCenter solutions Group.Have a working knowledge of the Steinhauer CNC to be able to assist/backup assemblers in machine shop, when required.Be able to Diagnose/Troubleshoot electrical issues with Industrial control Panel AssembliesCompetencies:Have a full working knowledge of reading electrical wiring elementary diagrams and schematicsHave a full working knowledge of laying out Control Panel mounting plates and populating sameHave a full working knowledge of complete electrical wiring of Industrial control Panel.Have a working knowledge of the Steinhauer CNC to be able to assist/backup assemblers in machine shop, when required.Supervisory Responsibility:This position is not a supervisory role and does not have any direct reports.Work Environment:This position is based in our Center and requires strict adherence to all safety protocols outlined in our safety handbook, as well as compliance with any newly implemented safety regulations.Mental Demands:Accountable and quality minded.Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment.Physical Demands:While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to have:the ability to stand, walk for moderately long distances, stoop, kneel, crouch, and manipulate (lift, carry, move) weight up to 50lbsAbility to use a keyboard and type proficientlySpecific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focusReasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.Travel:This position does not include overnight or branch travel.Education and Experience:High School Diploma or equivalent required3 or more years work in a Control Panel Shop or electrical construction preferred.Must be proficient with Microsoft Office ProductsExperience with electrical Drawings and Schematics.Experience or training with manufacturing processes, which require the use of Hand tools, power tools and instruments such as, digital multimeter, oscilloscope, and other electronic test/measurement devices.Requires knowledge of shop math, involving decimals, fractions, and their application.Ability to interpret drawings, job orders, and tools instructions for product specifications.Knowledge of UL508A, a plus.Other Duties:*Please note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
