Registered Nurse

The role involves providing nursing care in a high-paced environment. Candidates should be able to manage an average daily census of 140 patients. The nurse will work various days of the week, with some mid/day shifts based on staffing needs. Patient ratios will be maintained at 1:4. The facility utilizes Epic for charting. The role does not require floating to other units. Weekend shifts will be required every other weekend. Skills required include: abdominal pain, acute psychosis, asthma, blood product administration, care of ventilated patients, central line care and management, chest tube insertion and management, continuous IV paralytics management, drug overdose treatment, emergency medications administration, intubation, management of multisystem organ dysfunction/failure, procedural sedation administration and monitoring, triage. Interdisciplinary support is available from various services including physical therapy and social services. Candidates must be willing to work with a patient demographic ranging from neonates to geriatrics.
