Job Summary:

Position Title: Registered Nurse (RN)

Location: Hanson, KY, 42413

Duration: 12 weeks with possible extension

Work Schedule: 36-40 hours/week from 7 pm to 7:30 am (our lunches are built into this shift, so it is a 12 hour schedule)



Responsibilities for this emergency position include, but are not limited to:

• Supervise professional and ancillary employees in the administration of efficient nursing care of residents and make recommendations to the nursing administrator and nurse shift supervisor.
• Provide counsel and apply procedures to safeguard life and health.
• Provide first level supervision and evaluation to the nursing care staff.
• Document, communicate, and report administrative and clinical issues in a clear and concise manner to appropriate personnel.
• ssess, plan interventions, evaluate, and implement resident plans of care.
• Ensure updates are specific and timely.
• Confer with licensed personnel regarding resident conditions, changes in care needs, treatment, notification of health care providers (MD/ARNP), and disposition to external facility.
• ssign clinical staff based on knowledge, skills, and expertise to meet identified resident/patient care needs.
• Participate in all aspects of direct care, including responding to emergency situations.
• Make essential entries on essential records.
• Participate in staff education and serve as a preceptor in new employee orientation.
• dminister medication and treatment as prescribed.
• ccept and account for prescription drugs and related paraphernalia.
• Explain the medication purpose, dosage, and possible side effects to patients.
• Participate as a member of the patient's individual treatment team.
• ttend in-service training programs.
• Participate in drills for and respond to facility emergencies.
• Utilize standard infection control procedures.
