Medical Biller

Do you have experience as a medical billing professional with experience using systems just as SmartCare or something similar? Do you have experience billing third parties for homecare? We are looking for a billing systems specialist for a new job opportunity in San Francisco, CA? The ideal candidate will have good attention to detail, medical billing experience, and be able to thrive in a team-environment. Responsibilities: Process and manage medical billing for third-party payers, including financial management service organizations. Determine Medicare eligibility and ensure compliance with payer requirements. Prepare, submit, and track Medicare and other insurance claims. Research, resolve, and follow up on billing discrepancies and denials. Maintain accurate patient billing records within the electronic health record (EHR) system. Collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely and accurate billing and reimbursement. Support process improvements and billing system maintenance initiatives. Qualifications: 2+ years of medical billing experience in a healthcare or home care environment. Experience billing third-party payers and financial management services. Working knowledge of Medicare regulations, eligibility verification, and claims processing. Strong understanding of medical billing workflows, reimbursement processes, and compliance requirements. Experience using an EHR system. Experience with SmartCare is highly preferred. Experience with Netsmart, Qualifacts, Foothold, or similar healthcare EHR platforms is a plus. Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
