Please see the job details below: Title: Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) Facility Type: Nursing home Location: Lanham, MD 20706 Term: Contract: 13 weeks with possible extension Shift: 8hrs/day, (Mon-Fri) Required:
- High school diploma or equivalent, preferred
- Current licensure as Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) in practicing state and/or nationally certified
- Must be MD licensed COTA
- CPR/BLS preferred
- Must be COVID Vaccinated
- COTA stands for Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant.
- Works under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist (OT).
- Helps patients improve daily living and functional skills.
- Provides therapeutic activities and exercises according to the OT's treatment plan.
- Can work in hospitals, rehabilitation centers, schools, nursing facilities, and home health.
- Requires an accredited COTA education program, fieldwork, NBCOT certification, and state licensure.
