Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery

$1616.41/week - Job Summary: Provide specialized nursing care to women during labor, delivery, and postpartum, ensuring the safety and well-being of both mother and baby. Collaborate with healthcare teams to deliver exceptional maternity services. Responsibilities: Assess fetal and maternal conditions to monitor labor progress and identify complications. Administer medications and interventions as per physician orders and protocols. Educate patients on childbirth, postpartum care, and newborn care. Document patient information accurately in the electronic health record system. Respond promptly to emergencies or changes in patient status during labor. Collaborate with physicians, anesthesiologists, and support staff to coordinate care. Qualifications: Must have a minimum of 2 years of recent Labor and Delivery nursing experience. Hold an active RN license in good standing. Current AHA BLS and NRP certifications required. Experience with Cerner electronic health record system preferred. Knowledge of pregnancy complications such as preeclampsia, diabetes, and preterm labor. Ability to work variable shifts including holidays.
