Job Description

The Utility Operator supports manufacturing and warehouse operations by safely operating forklifts, handling materials, performing small-part assembly, and preparing customer orders for shipment. This role works on 1st shift (8:00 a.m. 4:30 p.m.) in a clean, smaller shop environment and plays a key part in meeting daily production and shipping goals while maintaining high quality and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklifts safely to move raw materials, finished goods, and other inventory throughout the facility.
• Load and unload incoming and outgoing trucks in a timely and efficient manner.
• Pick, pack, and prepare customer orders for shipment according to specifications.
• Perform basic small-part assembly following work instructions and quality standards.
• Conduct quality inspections and verify completed parts meet required specifications.
• Lift, carry, and move materials weighing up to 50 pounds on a regular basis.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and follow proper material movement practices.
• Assist with general warehouse, production, and housekeeping duties as needed.
• Follow all safety policies, procedures, and required personal protective equipment (PPE) guidelines.
• Report quality concerns, equipment issues, or safety hazards promptly to supervision.
• Support production teams to help meet daily output and shipping goals.

Work Environment

This role is based in a smaller shop with a clean manufacturing environment. You will work on 1st shift from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. in a production and warehouse setting that uses forklifts, hand tools, and standard material handling equipment. The environment emphasizes safety, proper use of PPE, and orderly housekeeping. Work involves regular lifting of up to 50 pounds, moving materials throughout the facility, and collaborating closely with production and shipping teams.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Medina, OH.

The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $22.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.

This is a fully onsite position in Medina,OH.
