folk is the all-in-one CRM. Centralize all the relationships that matter for your organization and customize it to the adapted workflow: from Sales CRM, recruiting pipeline, deal flow management, prospection management, and more.

We're looking for Senior Software Engineers to bring our product vision to life by developing well-thought features that have thousands of users waiting for them. We are looking for someone who is at ease with owning large tech projects in direct relationship with product, push for a high level of quality and deliver valuable features to our users. The job consists in:

• work in pair on small to large projects, challenge the specs and design
• laying out the architecture and planning the work
• implementing and delivering at the highest level of quality

We Could Be A Great Match If:

• You love the product as much as you love the tech. We're looking for developers that care for their users as much as they care for their stack. You want to work with skilled people who have a real focus on the customer experience, be it other developers or product and design people.
• You are well versed in front and back react+typescript stack. You push for quality, are not afraid of refactoring and do thorough reviews. You're a great software developer and individual contributor building fast, reliable features.
• You have at ease with distributed architectures. You know how to implement real-time web-based applications, know how to handle large migrations, can deal with breaking changes and canary releases. Being at ease with event driven is a strong plus.
• You believe preparing a great architecture is more valuable than going straight to implementation. There is nothing that you dislike more than rushing into the code. Instead, you plan and prepare by spending the required time allowing to identify the key areas and the main evolutions needed. The rest should be like playing along a score sheet of music.
• You're looking to take ownership over a project from start to finish: understand the business logic, the requirements and ensuring delivery.
• You value quality and performance. You build a feature with the highest level of quality possible at the time and working with scaling or high load application is not something that scares you.

We're focused on a high level approach of how to build the right things the right way. A lot of effort is spent preparing the work, questioning the purpose of the project, analysis what's existing so we can define the required evolutions of the stack. We value preparation as much (if not more) than implementation.

Here's our hiring process for this role:

1. Async step – Key Contributions Review: Before scheduling any calls, we invite you to share a few recent contributions that best reflect your impact, especially those related to long-term architecture, ownership, and scaling initiatives. This helps us ensure the first conversation is focused and relevant. We share as much documentation as we can about the role but it's also a time to ask questions, talk about dealbreakers and clarify the role to you.
2. A 1h30 video call with Jean-Yves - CTO to deep dive a little bit more into tech, to make sure you're interested in our stack and product, and to check the alignment with your skillset and approach.
3. A 45min video call with Morgane - Talent Manager to tell you a lot more about folk, our ambition, how operating approach and make sure our expectations are aligned.
4. 1h30 technical test, architecture and programming with Jean-Yves - CTO and one member of our engineering team: we use the test as a base for discussion to figure out how it feels working together and to cover architecture coding skills, architecture and exploration on a new topic.
5. A 30min video call with folk's cofounders. It's the perfect opportunity for you to ask anything about the company.
6. (opt) 30 min coffee with team members to get a feel of the work atmosphere

Regardless of the position, our interview process typically consists of 5 steps and takes approximately 2.5 weeks to complete.
