Wire Harness Design Engineer (Associate, Experienced or Lead)Company:The Boeing CompanyBoeing Defense, Space, & Security (BDS) is looking for a Wire Harness Design Engineer (Associate, Experienced or Lead) to join our team in Oklahoma City, OK. This position will provide engineering support across the Boeing portfolio of products, to include – but not limited to – Boeing Military Aircraft and Military Derivative Aircraft (AEW&C, AWACS, C-32/C-40, E-4B, VC-25A, KC-767, B-1B, B-2, B-52 and others).Our teams are currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels including Associate, Experienced, or Lead level Engineers.Associate (Level 2) Develops and maintains cable/wire harness detail and assembly designSupports analysis and design reviewsDevelops and maintains electrical product detail, assembly and installation designs (e.g., equipment racks, power panels, cable routing and geometry, antennas)Provides engineering design disposition on discrepancies (e.g., rejection tags, production action requests, shop revision requests)Follows documented processes, specifications and procedures that support the design and manufacture of electrical commoditiesSupports the development of statements of work. Assists in the technical review of supplier capabilities to facilitate source selectionAnalyzes functional and physical input used in the development of integrated design and system architecture. Works under general supervision.Experienced (Level 3) Develops and maintains cable/wire harness detail and assembly designsAnalyzes results and performs design reviewsDevelops and maintains electrical product detail, assembly and installation designs (e.g., equipment racks, power panels, cable routing and geometry, antennas)Provides engineering design disposition on discrepancies (e.g., rejection tags, production action requests, shop revision requests)Documents processes, specifications and procedures that support the design and manufacture of electrical commoditiesDevelops basic statements of workParticipates in technical review of supplier capabilities to facilitate source selectionAnalyzes functional and physical input to assure development of complete integrated designWorks under general direction.Lead (Level 4)Develops and maintains cable/wire harness detail and assembly designs.Analyzes results and performs design reviews.Leads the team to analyze results and performs design reviews.Provides engineering design disposition on discrepancies (e.g., rejection tags, production action requests, shop revision requests).Documents processes, specifications and procedures that support the design and manufacture of electrical commodities.Develops complex statements of work, metrics, schedules and budgets.Performs technical review of supplier capabilities to facilitate source selection.Works under minimal direction.Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience): Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (with a focus in Electrical, Mechanical or Aeronautical), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statementExperience with wire harness design tools2 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):Level 3 (Experienced): 3 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experienceLevel 4 (Lead): 5 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experienceExperience with Siemens Mentor Capital wire harness design software suite.Conflict of Interest:Successful candidates for this job must satisfy the Company’s Conflict of Interest (COI) assessment process.Relocation: This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility.Drug Free Workplace:Boeing is a Drug Free Workplace where post offer applicants and employees are subject to testing for marijuana, cocaine, opioids, amphetamines, PCP, and alcohol when criteria is met as outlined in our policies.Pay & Benefits:At Boeing, we strive to deliver a Total Rewards package that will attract, engage and retain the top talent.
