Job Description
Outpatient Infusion Registered Nurse (RN)

We are seeking a qualified Outpatient Infusion Registered Nurse (RN) to provide exceptional patient care within an outpatient infusion unit. The ideal candidate will possess the necessary certifications and experience to excel in a dynamic healthcare environment.

Job Description

This position involves administering chemotherapy and other infusion therapies to adult and geriatric patients, managing a variety of diagnoses including oncology, neurological conditions, anemia, and gastrointestinal issues. The registered nurse will work closely with patients and multidisciplinary teams to ensure safe and effective treatment.

Key Responsibilities

Administer chemotherapy and other prescribed treatments in accordance with established protocols.
Monitor patients for adverse reactions and provide appropriate interventions.
Manage blood product administration as required.
Utilize technology and equipment including EPIC, Omnicell, Ascom, glucometers, Alaris pumps, and elastomeric pumps.
Collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimize patient care.
Maintain clinical accuracy and efficiency in a fast-paced environment.
Participate in patient education and support throughout the treatment process.

Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license.
Current certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and Chemotherapy.
Minimum of one year of experience in outpatient infusion nursing.
Strong assessment and clinical skills.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
Flexibility to float between units as required.

Patient Population

The nurse will primarily work with adult and geriatric patients requiring various infusion services.

Preferred Skills

Experience with the common diagnoses treated in an outpatient infusion setting.
Proficiency in utilizing health information technology and equipment.
