This full-time contract opportunity, located in scenic Siskiyou County, CA, is an ideal match for educators passionate about supporting learners with mild to moderate needs. With a manageable caseload of 28 students or fewer, you'll have the opportunity to build meaningful, supportive relationships and deliver both instruction and advocacy in a collaborative environment. The position is primarily on-site, but there may be potential for virtual/online (VOCO) work as well.

Qualifications/Desired Experience:

• Valid California Special Education Teaching credential or eligibility to obtain one
• Previous experience teaching or supporting students with mild to moderate disabilities preferred
• Strong communication, organizational, and classroom management skills
• Ability to design and implement differentiated instruction and Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
• Comfortable working both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide individualized and small group instruction to meet students’ unique educational needs
• Develop, monitor, and update IEPs in collaboration with parents, staff, and specialists
• Track student progress and modify instructional strategies as necessary
• Foster a positive, inclusive environment that encourages student learning and self-advocacy
• Collaborate with general educators, counselors, and administrators to offer comprehensive support
• Maintain accurate records and adhere to all compliance guidelines
