Job Description Forklift Operator Brownsville, TX Compensation Includes * Starting Pay Rate of $13.00/hour Available Shift * 2nd Responsibilities * Operate all warehouse equipment required to transfer finished goods and other products to the appropriate areas, including forklift and clamp truck * Load and unload trucks efficiently in accordance with department standards * Stock all goods in a safe and stable manner * Communicate pertinent information to relief at shift change * Follow all safety policies and procedures * Maintain work area in an organized, safe, and clean manner; knowledge of 6S is a plus * Know locations of and how to operate emergency stop buttons and fire extinguishers * Complete forklift checklist * Monitor and record all products returned or received * Check accuracy of finished product count on pallets, verify product ID, ensure pallets have only one Port Ticket when removed from lines, and accurately complete all required paperwork * Fill forklift propane tank at end of shift * Perform accurate cycle counts as designated by Team Leaders * Effectively organize and stage materials to support inventory accuracy * Knowledge of LOTO procedures is a plus Qualifications * Minimum of one year recent forklift experience preferred * Minimum of one year sit-down forklift experience required * Clamp attachment operation experience is a plus * Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment * Basic knowledge of mathematics * Ability to communicate orally and in writing (English required) * Must be self-directed and able to work with little supervision * Must be certified in Lockout/Tagout and Forklift Operation upon assignment Company Benefits What You'll Get From Us Benefits With safety as our top priority and a commitment to employee well-being an important focus, we offer comprehensive and competitive benefits that include medical, dental and vision insurance as well as a variety of other well-being resources focused on mental, physical and financial health.
