Job Details Job ID: 5787037 Application Deadline: Posted until filled Posted: Jun 17, 2026 12:00 AM (UTC) Starting Date: Immediately Position Type: Part-time Job Description Alburnett Community School District will employ an Assistant Football Coach to assist the Head Coach in providing leadership, supervision, and organization of the football program. Key Responsibilities Be knowledgeable of rules, regulations, and coaching techniques of football and of local eligibility and conduct rules. Prepare facilities, equipment, and uniforms for contests and practices. Ensure proper care and storage of equipment and uniforms, and report repairs or replacements needed. Travel with the team to away events, be the last to leave the locker room, and verify that no equipment is left or damaged. Motivate athletes, use positive reinforcement, avoid sarcasm, embarrassment, or belittling language, and model self-control during practices and games. Assist the Head Coach with physicals, safety and health issues, and emergency procedures. Assist with communication with students, parents, and media. Help schedule practices and maintain records for the program. Take responsibility for non-varsity teams as assigned. Support the Head Coach’s philosophy when communicating with athletes, parents, and the community. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Possess a coaching endorsement or coaching authorization certification. Have experience as a player or coach in football. Be a role model for student athletes.
