Job Details Specialty: Interventional Radiology Technologist Discipline: Allied Health Professional Start Date: 06/29/2026 Duration: 13 weeks Hours: 40 hours per week Shift: 8 hours, days Employment Type: Travel Summary The Interventional Radiology (IR) Technologist assists physicians in performing minimally invasive procedures using imaging technology. This role involves preparing patients and equipment, operating imaging modalities, and ensuring high standards of patient care and safety. The IR Technologist works with the interventional radiologist and healthcare team to support vascular and non-vascular procedures in a fast-paced environment. Required Qualifications One year’s recent experience as an Interventional Radiology Technologist Valid ARRT, or RCIS/RCES Certification in compliance with state regulations Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC) Preferred Qualifications Current ACLS certification (AHA/ARC) Valid Radiologic Technologist license in compliance with state regulations PALS (AHA/ARC) or ENPC certification Other certifications or licenses may be required for this position Essential Responsibilities Prepare and position patients for interventional radiology procedures, ensuring comfort and safety Operate imaging equipment, including fluoroscopy, CT, and ultrasound, to guide procedures Scrub in for sterile procedures, pass instruments, and maintain a sterile field Monitor and document patient vital signs and procedural details Administer contrast media and monitor for adverse reactions Ensure proper radiation safety measures for patients, staff, and self Maintain and troubleshoot imaging equipment, ensuring readiness for procedures Manage procedural supplies and assist with inventory Collaborate with radiologists, nurses, and other team members to provide seamless patient care Follow infection control, safety, and regulatory protocols Provide patient education before, during, and after procedures Perform other duties as assigned to support IR lab operations Adhere to hospital safety protocols, infection control guidelines, and regulatory standards Essential Skills Critical thinking, service excellence, and good interpersonal communication Ability to read, write, and communicate in English Ability to read and follow written and verbal instructions; proficient in PC skills Physical Abilities: must be able to remain standing, move equipment (50-100 lbs), push, pull, and bend Interpersonal Skills: ability to work with a variety of personnel Technical/Motor Skills: ability to assist with procedures and operate equipment Mental Requirements: ability to cope with frequent contact with the public, meet deadlines, work with/without supervision, adapt to irregular schedules Sensory: visual acuity and effective communication Benefits Competitive pay for travel professionals Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance from day one Paid Time Off (PTO) after 1560 hours Life and short-term disability coverage 401(k) matching Refer-a-friend bonus program 24/7 recruiter support Reimbursement for licensure and CEUs #J-18808-Ljbffr Fusion Medical Staffing
