Industrial Maintenance Technician (This is a 3rd shift position)

 

(Corrugated Industry)

What You Will Do in Your Role

• Troubleshooting, repairing, maintaining, and installing equipment in compliance with all plant policies and procedures
• Working with machinery and mechanical equipment including motors, pneumatic & hydraulic components, conveyor systems, and production line equipment
• Reading diagrams, sketches, operation manuals and manufacturer’s specifications for installations
• Using hand tools, power tools and precision-measuring devices and testing instruments
• Adhering to all plant safety and environmental guidelines, policies, and procedures

Responsibilities include a strong understanding of mechanical operations and basic understanding of electrical

• Committed to support operation
• Commit to work schedule as needed
• Able to identify and correct issues without being told to do so
• Understands basic machine function of the corrugator
• Able to read prints and figure out how to take a system apart and put it back together
• Intermediate in hydraulic and pneumatic theory and application

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Previous industrial maintenance OR a two (2) year Industrial Maintenance degree
• Experience reading technical drawings and schematics
• Provide your own metric and standard tools, e.g.: socket and wrench sets, and Allen T-handles
• Experience with 3 phase 480v, 24 vdc control, and VFD’s
• Programmable logic controllers: 1 year minimal
• Mechanical knowledge: 1 year minimal

What Will Put You Ahead

• Experience with Allen Bradley PLCs
• Knowledge of the National Electric Code (NEC)
• Experience troubleshooting and repairing hydraulics and pneumatics
• Previous corrugated experience
