Registered Nurse - Operating Room

Job Description

Job Summary:

Responsible for providing specialized nursing care in the operating room environment. Ensures patient safety and effectively supports surgical procedures through expertise and adherence to clinical protocols.

Responsibilities:

Coordinate preoperative preparations for surgical patients to ensure readiness.
Assist surgeons and surgical teams during procedures by passing instruments and maintaining a sterile environment.
Monitor patient vital signs and respond promptly to any changes during surgery.
Ensure all surgical equipment and supplies are properly maintained and available.
Document all clinical activities accurately in compliance with hospital policies.
Provide postoperative care and instructions to patients to facilitate recovery.

Qualifications:

Valid BLS, ACLS, and ACLS certifications required.
Hold an active license in the relevant state or region.
Demonstrate experience in Trauma, Neuro, and Orthopedic surgeries.
Possess strong clinical assessment and patient management skills.
Ability to work flexible hours including two to three 12-hour shifts per week, and on-call rotations.
Exhibit excellent communication and teamwork capabilities.
