VP, US Sports Sales (New York)

TelevisaUnivision is seeking a strategic, results-driven Vice President, US Sports Sales to lead revenue growth across our premium sports portfolio. The VP, US Sports Sales will be responsible for developing and executing go-to-market strategies, driving multimillion-dollar advertising and sponsorship revenue, cultivating senior-level client and agency relationships, and partnering cross-functionally to deliver integrated media solutions across linear, streaming, digital, social, branded content, and experiential platforms.This leader will play a critical role in shaping sales strategy, mentoring high-performing sales teams, and identifying new growth opportunities within the evolving sports media landscape. This role will report into the EVP, US Sports Sales.YOUR DAY-TO-DAYRevenue Growth & Client LeadershipDrive advertising and sponsorship revenue across TelevisaUnivision’s sports portfolio.Own and deliver against significant revenue targets.Build and expand senior-level client, agency, and brand relationships.Negotiate large-scale media partnerships and integrated marketing agreements.Generate new business while expanding existing client investments.Sales Strategy & Business PlanningDevelop and execute revenue-driving sales strategies for key sports properties and tentpole events.Partner on forecasting, pipeline management, and business planning.Analyze market trends, audience insights, and competitive dynamics to identify growth opportunities.Leverage data and performance metrics to inform client recommendations.Manage the entirety of the Sports Team’s day to day business.Team LeadershipLead, coach, and develop a high-performing sales team.Establish clear performance expectations and accountability.Recruit, retain, and develop top sales talent.Cross-Functional PartnershipCollaborate with Ad Solutions, Marketing, Revenue Operations, Research, Production, and Ad Operations teams to deliver integrated client solutions.Support development and execution of sponsorships, branded content, and custom programs.Ensure seamless campaign execution and operational excellence.Industry LeadershipRepresent TelevisaUnivision with clients, agencies, sports properties, and industry organizations.Maintain expertise in sports media, advertising technology, audience measurement, and marketplace trends.Provide strategic insights and recommendations to senior leadership.YOU HAVEBachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, Communications, or related field.10+ years of media, advertising, sponsorship, or sports sales experience with a proven track record of revenue growth.Experience negotiating multimillion-dollar media partnerships and managing senior client relationships.Strong knowledge of linear TV, streaming, digital, social, sponsorships, and integrated marketing solutions.Prior sales leadership and team management experience.Strong forecasting, pipeline management, analytical, and financial skills.Exceptional communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building abilities.Experience in sports media, live events, or sponsorship sales.Knowledge of the Hispanic marketplace and multicultural advertising landscape.Experience selling integrated, cross-platform marketing solutions.Familiarity with audience measurement, advanced advertising products, and data-driven sales strategies is preferred.ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTSMust be willing to work from a TelevisaUnivision office in New York.Flexibility to support a live sports calendar, including occasional non-traditional hoursAbility to travel as needed for client meetings, live events, and industry engagementsEmployment/education will be verifiedApplicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basisExact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location: Base pay Range $160,000 – 180,000 + Bonus + benefitsOUR BENEFITSTelevisaUnivision believes that a happy, well-balanced employee is what makes our culture thrive.
