Kitchen Expeditor

Join our kitchen team at this beloved Thai-American diner in bed stuy, Brooklyn. Play a contributing role in our small kitchen team to learn our unique brand of authentic Thai dishes with an American twist. Work in an open kitchen in a chill and fun atmosphere while putting out some of the best Thai food in the city. The Expo Role: The expeditor is a liaison between the kitchen and service teams and works in the kitchen alongside both cooks and service team members. This expeditor facilitates the process of delivering dishes from the kitchen to the guests in a timely manner, and following proper steps of service. In our open kitchen, the expo should be comfortable interacting with guests and occasionally helping servers when they are busy. This position is the final quality control check for flavor and presentation. The expo must be organized and quick on their feet to put out the right food on time. What you’ll do: Conduct yourself in a professional manner in our open kitchen Oversee the kitchen pass and runners during service periods Maintain high standards of quality, taste and presentation Use our touch screen Square pos system to communicate with kitchen and keep your station organized Maintain a clean, organized, efficient, and stocked station and work area at all times Listen and communicate clearly and effectively with all team members Embodies a professional demeanor in a very high stress level position Support in the service training of all new team members in the food runner positions Requirements: 2+ years’ experience in a line cook position Line Cook experience with breakfast/brunch menus Passion for Thai cuisine.
