Adjunct Nutritional Science/Dietetics Instructor

Position Information Posting Number: AS278P Location: Woodland Community College – Woodland, CA. Job Description Basic Function: Develop and deliver instructional lectures and laboratories for Nutritional Science/Dietetics courses up to 6–10 hours per week. Use appropriate teaching methods to facilitate student learning. Teach day, evening, and/or weekend teaching assignments, which may include distance learning (interactive television, online) and accelerated courses. Assess Student Learning Outcomes every semester. Participate in department, division, and college-wide initiatives and committees if desired. Required Duties: Demonstrate sensitivity to and understanding of the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability, and ethnic backgrounds of community college students. Qualifications Required Qualifications: Master’s in nutrition, dietetics, or dietetics and food administration. Or Bachelor’s in any of the above. And Master’s in chemistry, public health, or family and consumer studies/home economics. NOTE: A bachelor’s in nutrition, dietetics, or dietetics and food administration, and certification as a registered dietitian, is an alternative qualification for this discipline. Desired/Preferred Qualifications: Compensation Range/Step: Step 1 – Step 7 (Based on degree and teaching experience). Salary Range: $47.07–$78.42 per hour (Lecture Rate).
