Medical Surgical Floor Nurse, located in the Pacific Northwest, provides compassionate and high-quality patient care in a dynamic short-term acute care setting. This position involves floating between units based on daily needs, with a focus on delivering excellent clinical support to adult and geriatric patients.

Job Details

• Certifications, Education Requirements, Degree Requirements, Location Requirements, and Years of Experience: Valid state license with a minimum of 1 year of experience as a Medical Surgical Registered Nurse (RN).
• Schedule: Nights shift, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: 1+ years of clinical experience as a Medical Surgical RN, current state license, and proficiency in Med/Surg nursing including use of Rapid Response/Code teams, Peripheral Line Care/Management, Nasal Cannula, Non-invasive airway management, Oxygen administration, Isolation Precautions/PPE, IV insulin protocols, Starting and maintaining IVs, PCA, Wound Care/Wound Vac, Telemetry remote monitoring, Colostomy/ileostomy management, Feeding tube care, Continuous Bladder Irrigation, Pre/Post Hemodialysis Management, Blood Product Administration, Central line blood draw, PICC line management, Heparin, Insulin, CVA management, Substance Withdrawal, Surgical drains, Chest tubes, High Flow Nasal Cannula, Oral suctioning, Tracheostomy care/management.
• Additional Information: Candidates must have a vehicle, be willing to float between units as needed, and work scheduled weekends. Flexibility for floating to sister facilities may be required. Candidates must work three of the five holidays specified.
• Submission Requirements: Candidates must respond to questions regarding previous experience at Providence facilities, including locations and dates worked, and provide two references covering a 1-year span within the last three years.
