Motor Vehicle Operator
Incumbent operates gas and diesel engine vehicles within valet parking designated areas, vehicles having an approximate gross weight of up to 10,000 pounds. Maintains accountability of customers' vehicle keys and records of vehicles and vehicle locations. Cleans and fuels the Valet Parking assigned vehicle and reports any mechanical deficiencies to the Motor Pool. Incumbent performs customer service functions and interacts with other VA staff members. Performs other duties as assigned. Must have basic skills for starting, stopping, backing, and driving the vehicle. Must be knowledgeable of the VA traffic rules and regulations. Must possess good oral communication and customer service skills. Must be able to operate two-way radios to receive and transmit messages.
