Anticipated School Counselor

Under the supervision of the Principal, the successful candidate works to plan, prepare, and implement appropriate counseling support to students in small groups and individually. Responsibilities:

• Plan and implement counseling program for high school students
• Monitor assigned student achievement and communicate between parents, students, teachers, and school staff
• Help students experiencing social, emotional, and/or behavioral problems through counseling
• Facilitate external supports for students and families in need of additional supports
• Assist with academic scheduling and support administration with accompanying responsibilities related to scheduling
• Maintain records and perform other counseling department related duties as needed

Qualifications:

• Ability to relate and communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues
• Valid Pennsylvania Instructional I or II School Counselor
• Prior experience preferred
• State Police Background Check, FBI Background Check, and Child Abuse History Clearance will be required when responding to this posting
