Unit Secretary

The Subacute at Autumn Lake Healthcare / ProMedica East is an exceptional team-oriented company hiring for Unit Secretary ! Responsibilities:
Provide administrative support to the nursing staff, including answering phones, transferring calls, and relaying messages
Maintain accurate and confidential records, including patient charts and medical records
Perform various clinical and non-clinical tasks as assigned by the nursing staff, including scheduling, filing, and data entry
Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to infection control standards and policies
Demonstrate excellent communication and customer service skills, interacting with patients, families, and healthcare professionals in a professional and respectful manner
Requirements:
Previous experience as a Unit Secretary preferred
Long term care experience preferred
1-3 months previous working experience, customer service
Legible penmanship
Knowledge of medical symbols, abbreviations, and terminology
Multi-line telephone operation
PCC Point Click Care experience
Fax, email capabilities
Answering phones, transfer calls, relay messages
