CNC Machinist

CNC MachinistWe are seeking a dependable CNC Machinist who will be responsible for operating CNC (Computer Numerically Controlled) Machinery safely and accurately to perform a variety of operations to produce metal various common and exotic for our product line. The employee would be responsible for loading and unloading metal parts, changing tooling, reading and interpreting design blueprints, and adjusting the machine settings for the needed specifications.CNC Machinist General Responsibilities:Learn to read work orders and blueprints (materials, specifications, and geometric dimensions and tolerances) to machine products accuratelyAssist in inspections of equipment, materials, and productsPrepares and loads raw materials and parts onto the machinesMonitors the machines while they execute the tasks and makes any necessary adjustments to produce a better resultChoosing, changing, and loading the correct cutting tools for the jobLearn to utilize precision measuring tools to inspect and measure products and compare them with requirements to determine if the process has been completed properly and meets quality standardsDocuments actions by completing production work ordersChecks, cleans, and maintains machinery daily to ensure functionalityCapable of setting up mills and lathes by installing fixtures, attachments, and tools necessary to complete jobs according to specifications is a plusCNC Machinist Requirements:Possess a High School Diploma or equivalent, certification or technical school in Machining1-2 years of experience working with CNC machines or in a manufacturing plant preferred.Mechanical AptitudeAble to read and interpret work instructionsFluent in both written and spoken EnglishPrevious experience with lathes, mills, press breaks, plasma machines, small hand tools.Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities are a plusLearn and apply the latest relevant knowledge to machiningPerform Math skills in standard and metric measurementsAble to accurately read/use a tape measure, calipers and micrometersBasic computer skillsPassion for doing a job wellA "self-motivated" team playerAble to work effectively in South Alabama climate conditionsAble to stand for long periods of time, crawl, squat, and climb without tiring easilyAble to lift 50 pounds with reasonable accommodationsMust pass a background check and drug testGexpro Services (A VEVRAA Federal Contractor) is an EEO/Disabled/Veterans employer.
