Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare, revise, proofread, and format legal documents, correspondence, pleadings, and presentations.
  • Manage attorney calendars, appointments, deadlines, and travel arrangements.
  • Coordinate meetings, conference calls, and client events.
  • Prepare expense reports, time entries, and other administrative materials.
  • Assist with state and federal court filings, including electronic filings.
  • Open new client matters and maintain electronic and physical case files.
  • Communicate professionally with clients, courts, opposing counsel, and vendors.
  • Monitor deadlines and ensure timely completion of attorney requests.
  • Assist with document production, binders, and other litigation or transactional support projects.
  • Handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of legal secretarial experience in a law firm environment.
  • Strong knowledge of legal terminology, court procedures, and law firm operations.
  • Experience with electronic filing in state and/or federal courts preferred.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong proofreading, grammar, and document formatting skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
  • Ability to prioritize competing deadlines and work effectively under pressure.
  • Professional communication skills and strong attention to detail.
