Job Description
Title: Registered Nurse - Ophthalmology

Schedule:
- Shift: 4x10.0
- Days: Primarily Monday - Friday with on-call responsibilities for evenings, nights, and weekends

Assignment Details:
- Contract Length: 13 Weeks
- Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours/week

Requirements:
- RN License (New York State license only)
- BLS Certification (American Heart Association only)
- Two (2) years of operating room experience
- Experience in a level 1 trauma hospital (highly desired)
- ACLS Certification (preferred)
- Ability to scrub and circulate
- Experience with cataracts, retina, glaucoma, cornea, and pediatrics

Roles & Responsibilities:
- Provide patient care in the operating room, utilizing a multidisciplinary approach.
- Perform scrub and circulating duties during ophthalmology procedures.
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure high-quality patient outcomes.
- Monitor patient safety and comfort pre- and post-surgery.
- Maintain sterile environment and adherence to surgical protocols.
- Assist in the teaching of patients and families regarding post-operative care and recovery.
