Your Day-to-Day Responsibilities Will Include:
- Contributing to surgical procedures by preparing and organizing the operating room
- Ensuring adherence to sterile fields and infection control measures
- Assisting surgeons and surgical assistants by handing over instruments and supplies
- Overseeing and managing surgical tools and equipment throughout the entire procedure
- Monitoring inventory to guarantee readiness for each surgery
- Collaborating with surgical teams including nurses and anesthetists to ensure fluid care
- Maintaining accurate counts of surgical instruments and documentation
- A completed program in Surgical Technology from an accredited institution
- A high school diploma or equivalent is mandatory
- Current certification as a CST (Certified Surgical Technologist) is essential
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, or the ability to obtain it within 90 days of joining
- Comprehensive knowledge of surgical instruments and processes spanning various specialties
- Exceptional communication and teamwork capabilities, especially in high-pressure scenarios
- Ability to quickly prioritize and respond to the dynamic needs of the surgical team
- Strong organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail and cleanliness
- Expertise in maintaining aseptic techniques and sterile environments
