Inpatient Pharmacist

The Pharmacist performs clinical and professional pharmaceutical work in the compounding and dispensing of drugs and IV supplies. The Pharmacist is responsible for reviewing prescriptions to ensure accuracy. The Pharmacist will collaborate with other healthcare professionals to plan, monitor, review and evaluate patient effectiveness and adverse effects. The pharmacist provides information and advice regarding drug interactions and potential side effects as well as analyze prescribing trends to monitor patient compliance and to prevent excessive usage or harmful interactions.

Minimum Requirements:

Active Illinois Pharmacist License (in good standing)

• PharmD from an ACPE-accredited program

• 1+ years of hospital pharmacy experience

• Strong IV compounding experience

• Experience with CPOE systems and Pyxis

Schedule:

• 4pm-12am / 11pm-7a flex shift (must be available for both shifts)

• Weekend requirement: Every other weekend
