Details Emergency Department serving combined adult and pediatric patient population Level II or III trauma center experience required Night shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts from 19:00-7:00 Preferred experience with Cerner charting system Requirements Active TX or compact RN license required Minimum 2 years of ER experience required, preferably in a facility of similar size 5-8 years of experience preferred by facility Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC (must be willing to obtain if offered) Preferred certifications: NIHSS, NRP Recent ER travel experience within the past 6-8 months preferred Skilled in trauma care including gunshot wounds, traumatic amputations, and multisystem organ dysfunction Experience with cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, and 12-lead EKG/ECG Proficient in emergency medications, IV vasopressors, and procedural sedation administration/monitoring Skilled in respiratory care including BiPAP/CPAP, ventilator management, intubation, and ABG interpretation Experience managing pediatric emergencies including epiglottitis, burns, poison ingestion, and near drowning Experience with psychiatric emergencies including acute psychosis, suicidal patients, and managing violent behavior Skilled in triage, isolation precautions/PPE, and orthopedic splinting Additional Information Provide emergency care across a wide range of adult and pediatric conditions including trauma, respiratory, neurological, and psychiatric cases Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be eligible; local candidates are not accepted Holiday coverage expected during the assignment Facility conducts an on-site drug screening including marijuana, with a positive result resulting in automatic cancellation Pending license accepted for consideration but must be active before start date American Traveler Job ID P-743541.
