Cloud - Staff Site Reliability Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate highly scalable and reliable systems for Bedrock engineering teams.
• Own and improve cloud infrastructure across AWS, GCP, and Azure for security, performance, reliability, and cost efficiency.
• Design, implement, and maintain end-to-end monitoring, logging, and tracing systems.
• Develop production engineering practices covering reliability, security, on-call rotations, and incident response.
• Identify and implement performance improvements and cloud resource cost optimizations.

Requirements

• Demonstrated passion for building and maintaining reliable, fault-tolerant distributed systems.
• Strong proficiency with major cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure and infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform.
• Proven experience with container technologies and orchestration platforms, particularly Kubernetes.
• Hands-on experience with observability tools such as Datadog, Prometheus, or Splunk.
• Strong understanding of distributed systems, networking, database technologies, and compute infrastructure.
• Strong understanding of and experience implementing security best practices in cloud environments.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-growth environment, handle ambiguity, and take ownership of challenging problems.
