About the Opportunity A high‑impact technology organization is building a next‑generation platform from the ground up and is seeking a Chief Architect to lead the design and execution of its core infrastructure. This is a greenfield opportunity where you will define the architectural direction, establish engineering standards, and build a scalable foundation for a product expected to support both domestic and global deployments. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in early‑stage builds, operates independently, and wants full ownership of architectural decisions in a fast‑moving, high‑visibility environment. What You’ll Do Own and define the end‑to‑end platform architecture for a large‑scale, distributed system Lead the design of cloud‑based and edge‑enabled infrastructure, with a strong emphasis on scalability and reliability Establish technical standards, frameworks, and best practices for engineering teams Guide architectural decisions across data, identity, infrastructure, and system integration Build and mentor a growing engineering team (starting as the first infrastructure hire) Partner with leadership to translate strategic goals into technical execution plans Ensure systems are designed to meet security, compliance, and performance requirements What You Bring Proven experience as a Chief Architect / Principal Architect / Lead Architect in complex environments Strong background building and deploying production‑grade platforms from scratch (greenfield) Deep expertise in Microsoft Azure (preferred) or similar cloud ecosystems Experience designing distributed systems, including edge or hybrid deployments Background working in government, regulated, or high‑compliance environments Demonstrated ability to operate independently with minimal direction Track record of owning architecture through design, build, and delivery phases Highly Preferred Experience with offline‑first or distributed data synchronization models Exposure to edge computing or systems operating in intermittently connected environments Familiarity with identity/authentication frameworks in secure environments Prior leadership in compliance‑driven programs or regulated infrastructure builds Key Requirements Must be a U.S. Citizen Must be eligible to obtain a security clearance Ability to work on‑site in Alpharetta, GA on a daily basis Willingness to operate in a fast‑paced, evolving environment with aggressive delivery timelines Why This Role Rare greenfield architecture ownership with executive visibility Opportunity to build and scale a team from the ground up High‑impact role shaping a mission‑critical platform Backed by leadership committed to investing in long‑term success Benefits Benefit offerings include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short‑term disability, additional voluntary benefits, EAP program, commuter benefits, and 401K plan.
