The Quality Control Inspector plays a key role in ensuring that products meet established quality standards throughout the production and sterilization process. This position works closely with production, shipping, and management teams to inspect goods, verify documentation, manage quality records, and support continuous improvement efforts. The role involves detailed visual inspection, documentation review, internal audits, and coordination of sterilization and return material authorization activities to help maintain a high level of product quality and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Identify opportunities to improve and modify departmental procedures to enhance efficiency and quality.

• Perform any additional duties assigned by a supervisor in support of departmental and company objectives.

• Check outgoing shipments that are sent for sterilization to ensure accuracy and proper documentation.

• Inspect shipments returning from sterilization to confirm that products meet quality standards and are ready for further processing or release.

• Inspect produced goods and approve or reject production based on established quality criteria.

• Release finished goods into inventory once they have passed inspection and meet all requirements.

• Verify products and quantities of items picked for shipping to ensure accuracy of outbound shipments.

• Perform internal audits of company operations to assess compliance with procedures and quality standards.

• Perform all duties of a production line packer/worker as needed to support the production process.

• Arrive at work on time, prepared to begin duties promptly, and maintain consistent attendance.

• Generate reports, evaluate trends, and assist management in identifying and resolving issues related to quality and process performance.

• Aid in overall quality improvement efforts by providing data, insights, and recommendations.

• Perform label review and creation to ensure correct and compliant product labeling.

• Carry out filing and documentation management activities, including scanning, archiving, and maintaining organized records.

• Review and measure compliance with quality standards and assess the effectiveness of corrective actions.

• Recommend improvements based on findings from quality reviews and corrective action evaluations.

• Conduct quality review of documentation, including drawings and batch records, to ensure accuracy and completeness.

• Investigate product nonconformances and create clear, thorough documentation of findings and actions taken.

• Manage return material authorization (RMA) activities and coordinate sample shipping to laboratories.

• Review sterilization loads and complete all associated documentation accurately and in a timely manner.

• Maintain organization and cleanliness of the warehouse area to support safe and efficient operations.

• Maintain organization and cleanliness of the production area to support quality standards and workflow.

• Ensure accuracy and timeliness of internal paperwork related to production, quality, and shipping.

• Minimize customer rejections through careful inspection, documentation, and adherence to quality standards.

• Support accurate receiving of incoming materials through verification and proper documentation.

• Establish and maintain a positive attitude with all employees and contribute to a respectful, cooperative work environment.

Essential Skills

• Strong visual inspection skills and attention to detail to identify defects, nonconformances, and documentation errors.

• Ability to perform repetitive tasks with accuracy and consistency over the course of a workday.

• Ability to follow work instructions, company procedures, policies, standards, and supervisor directions.

• Basic computer knowledge to handle documentation, reporting, scanning, and archiving activities.

• Good communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with team members and document findings clearly.

• Ability to perform all duties specified for the role, including inspection, documentation, and production line tasks.

• Ability to complete goals set in regular evaluation and goal-setting sessions.

• Reliability in arriving on time and being prepared to work at the start of each shift.

• Capability to lift up to 25 lbs as needed in support of inspection, production, and shipping activities.

• Ability to maintain organization and cleanliness in warehouse and production areas.

• Accuracy in verifying outbound shipments and receiving incoming materials.

• Ability to minimize rejections by customers through thorough inspections and adherence to quality standards.

• Ability to establish and maintain a positive attitude with all employees and work effectively within a team.

• Availability to work overtime as needed to support production and quality demands.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Bi-lingual (English/Spanish) skills are beneficial and can support communication across teams.

• Experience with inspection, production, and following detailed work instructions is helpful.

• Familiarity with documentation management practices such as filing, scanning, and archiving is an advantage.

• Comfort working in a structured environment with defined quality standards and procedures.

• Ability to contribute ideas for process improvements and quality enhancements.

• Strong sense of responsibility for accuracy, timeliness, and completeness of internal paperwork and documentation.

Work Environment

The role is based in a clean room environment with strict standards to maintain product integrity and safety. Team members follow specific attire and personal care guidelines, including no gel nails, acrylics, nail polish, makeup, eyelash extensions, or perfume, to comply with clean room requirements. You will work as part of a small but growing team, currently expanding from about three people toward a larger group, which fosters close collaboration and clear communication. Standard hours are Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with the possibility of overtime as needed. The setting emphasizes cleanliness, organization, and adherence to procedures, creating a structured and quality-focused workplace.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Grapevine, TX.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $17.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
